Share Your Cup #191

Welcome to Share Your Cup ( SYC for short)-

the party where you share what makes you happy - it's what your hosts call "filling your cup".

Carol did this weeks post and chose features.

We hope that everyone had a lovely Easter and that spring is in the air in your neck of the woods.

Before we look at this week's features, let's see what your hosts have been up to.

In Shabby Chic, Jo of Anne's Attic - Design talked about her love of the shabby chic lifestyle

and showed us some of the beautiful bags she makes and sells in her Etsy shop.

Jann was busy decorating for Easter and showed us this darling quilt in The Night Before Easter.

And now, she is off on vacation In Dogwood Heaven.

I have been busy working on my Cottage Garden

and was On the Road for Easter where we saw beautiful houses and gardens.

And now for the features chosen by me this week.

Amy of A Day of Small Things took us On the Road With the Princess and showed us the pride she has in her home town of Annapolis which she describes as, "the most beautiful Main Street in the country".

Jan of Just Jan Blog showed her beautiful mantel in The Mantel Is Wearing Azaleas and I wanted to rush home from our Easter vacation to create something similar on our mantel.

I just love how Brooke of Creative Country Mom decorated her Light and Bright Cottage Eat-In Kitchen.

Jean of Delightful Repast shared a recipe for Vanilla Chiffon Cupcakes  that look and sound delicious.

Look at the great pillows Julie of Live From Julie's House created from thrift store sweaters.

I love this beautiful spring table set by Cecilia of My Thrift Store Addiction in The 15 Minute Fix.

Thanks for sharing and remember to grab the button if you were featured.

I'm in Dogwood Heaven!

Hello my friends,
just popping in to say 'hi'.  First day of our vacation and let me tell you, I am in Dogwood heaven!

If you've ever been to the Carolinas this time of year you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Their billowing branches are everywhere along the freeway and gracing almost every home and business.  Isn't both this tree and house gorgeous?

I shared this photo on Instagram and fb and a friend said this:
"The dogwood, the tree of the Savior.  Each blossom has three rust spots for the nails in his hand, and the other petal is for his head.

I had never heard this before.  Now I will look at the gorgeous dogwood and see it in a different light.

We visited The McGill rose garden in Charlotte.  The roses were just starting to open, but we saw a few other lovelies.

Here they are from A to D. (just happened to work out that way)  :)

 Amazing Azaleas

Blooming Bike

Coral Cutie

Delicious Doors.

Now I know my ABC's (at least the first four letters), tell me what you think of me.

hugs,
Jann

The Night Before Easter. . .

It's the night before Easter and all through the house. . .
there's plenty of critters, but hopefully no mouse!

the BUNNIES hat is placed on the mantle with care. . .Hopefully it won't be long until in hops a hare!

Plenty of his friends are waiting in there. . .

Some are chocolate,

Others look more like peeps.

That BUNNY leaves baskets filled with all kind of treats, and hides eggs all around the house as he leaps.

(kind of creepy if you really think about it.  lol)

After finding the basket and egg hunting is done.  The real meaning of Easter will have begun.

We'll put on our Sunday best and off to church we go to learn of Jesus and how we are blessed.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying the fun. . .but take time to remember Jesus and that he is the one!

The one that Easter is really about.

He's better than chocolate, candy, or any old bunny hopping about!

Happy Easter!
hugs,
Jann
